Week 39 !

It’s all really starting to come together at our new build project in Cambridge!  The long-awaited installation of both staircases has finally happened, and it took two carpenters an entire week to complete the fit!  We think you’ll agree David Smith have done a sterling job on the stairs for our new build project! The final finish will be to add the oak handrail once the house is more or less finished and there’s no danger of any damage or spills happening to them.  The treads are going to be stained to a darker shade and the clients will be having a stair runner fitter which is going to look wonderful.

As you’d expect at this stage of any new build project, it can take some time to get things to the perfect finish we are aiming for.  Once the stairs were completed, the carpenters have had plenty of other tasks to keep them busy!  The fitted wardrobes in the second bedroom are coming along a treat, and we’ve managed to get a coat of primer on to these and the en-suite dressing room.

Elsewhere we have made further progress with the family bathroom, with the bath being installed and tiling complete in this room.  Down in the kitchen area we’ve also been working the utility room and some more work with the ongoing kitchen fit.

And finally, we went live with the wifi connection for this new build project.  Our back office support has been in touch with our electricians, automation and CCTV contractors to ensure we have all our ducks in line for the coming weeks and the next essential works needed at this complex new build project!
